The Classic login registration process explained below has now been replaced by the NHS login registration process.
Once a patient has filled out a registration form, they will receive an email or a text to ask them to come into the practice and verify their identity.
They are asked to bring in TWO forms of identification one of which must feature a photo. Acceptable documents include passport, photo driving licences and bank statements.
Bills are not an acceptable document.
When the patient has shown you their ID, you are able to approve them on the system and they can set up their full account following the steps below:
1. Click on Patients
2. Click on Pending
3. Find the patient who you need to verify. You can use the Search Users bar at the top of the screen.
4. Click approve/reject
5. Choose one of the following:
I have SEEN the patient's ID I can vouch for the patient
Reject patient
You also have the option to set restrictions on the patient's account
For more information on step 5 visit How to: Restrict patient access
6. If you have seen the ID, or can vouch for the patient enter the EMIS ID/NHS number and click Approve - the patient will now be able to set up their account.
